Rodeo Queens Forced to Ride Stick Ponies Due To Horse Herpes Outbreak
Sometimes a headline is all you need. I don’t mean to make light of the situation, but this is one of those stories that just can’t be true, right? Wrong. Please note that I am NOT making fun of the little girls; they were just doing what the officials told them to do. But don’t our children already do enough things that we can’t wait to embarrass them with by telling their friends when they become teenagers? This just seems cruel.

“It will give you experience for if you happen to have a problem like this later in life,” said a former Mounted Posse Junior Queen with a smile [name withheld]. “You already have the experience of riding a stick horse!” She actually has a good point. If you can get through this, any future challenges will seem like a gallop in the park.
