Getting Healthy With Amway Nutrilite Nutritional Supplements (Giveaway)

When I got back from Denver the other day I was feeling pretty good. Spending time with Olympic-caliber athletes, being at a marathon, and learning about nutritional supplements will do that. I was there courtesy of Amway Nutrilite–the global leader in sales of vitamins and supplements and a major sponsor of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.

Deep down inside of me is a health nut just trying to get out. Okay, really deep. You might not know it to look at me, but health is something that’s on my mind a good portion of every day. In fact, earlier in my career I spent over three years learning and writing about nutrition at the cellular level. I still enjoy the less-healthy things in life like fast food and pastries, but when it comes to my knowledge of nutrition, I’m no turnover. Sorry, I mean pushover.

The Amway Nutrilite brand has been around for more than 75 years, and its founder is credited with inventing the very first multi-vitamin. The company’s philosophy is that a plant-based diet, rich in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, is key to optimal health.

The part that impressed me most was that every step in the process–from seed to consumer–takes place at Nutrilite facilities. Nutrilite products are made using whole plant concentrates, which are grown on the company’s own certitified organic farms in California, Washington, Brazil, and Mexico. I know what it takes to manufacture nutritional supplements, and that’s pretty impressive.

My time in Denver was a great reminder of the importance of proper nutrition, and that just because something claims to be nutritious doesn’t mean that it actually is. That health nut buried deep inside me is now even more determined to get out.
